Today we will see a mix of clouds and sun and winds will be light out of the southwest. The outside air temperatures will push up into the upper to low 70's for today at Racine beaches. Tonight look for a slight chance for some thunderstorms late with some moderate rain showers and skies will be on the cloudy side. Winds for tonight will be light out of the ESE and the outside air temperatures will drop down into the mid 50's. The sunrise was this morning at 5:18 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 8:17 p.m. The water surface temperatures have dropped a little and are between 54 and 56 degrees. Well I hope you got a few waves under your belt with yesterdays winds and waves out of the SSE because there is really nothing in the forecast for waves for the next several days. Waves for today are in the knee high range and under with very poor conditions for surfing on Lake Michigan. Today we will see light to moderate winds out of the southeast with a few high clouds. The outside air temperatures for today will push up into the mid to upper 60's at Racine County beaches. Tonight look for clear skies and the outside air temperatures will drop down into the mid 50's at Racine beaches. Winds for tonight will be light to moderate out of the SSE. The sunrise was this morning at 5:18 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 8:14 p.m. The water surface temperatures off of Racine County beaches on Lake Michigan are at 56 degrees and are slowly rising. Some great news for our surf on Thursday. We will be seeing a good wind and swell out of the SSE and south for Thursday and waves will be building going into the afternoon hours here in the Racine area. Wave heights going into the afternoon hours on Thursday will build up into the waist to stomach high range with some bigger waves filling in towards the late afternoon. Surfing conditions here in the Racine area will be fair with some fun waves to be had. The better and bigger waves will be up past the Milwaukee area due to the more fetch of the lake. Get out and catch summer waves for Thursday with surfing conditions up north seeing good conditions for surfing. Happy Surfing The Great Lakes 2012. GO SURF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waves for today are flat off of Racine County beaches on Lake Michigan. Today we will see plenty of sun and winds will be light out of the southwest. The outside air temperatures for today will push up into the low to mid 70's at Racine County beaches. Tonight look for mainly clear skies and the outside air temperatures will drop down into the low to mid 50's. Winds for tonight will be light out of the SW. Not much for waves for the next couple of days here in the Racine area. We could see some longboardable waves out of the north and NNW for this next Wednesday morning. If there is waves for this next Wednesday May the 16th I suggest to brake out the longboard and get a few waves in because we are getting into our flat season for surfing as we get into the summer. Wave heights as of now are in the knee to thigh high range with a few bigger waves at the standout spots here in the Racine County area. Overall I am going to say there are some small waves to be had if you surf on your longboard this late afternoon but surfing conditions will still be on the poor side due to the smaller surf. Today we will see cloudy skies with moderate to strong winds mainly out of the north. The outside air temperatures will struggle to push up into the upper 40's at Racine beaches.
