Good middle of the work week, This is Burton with your surf update recorded on February the 15th 2012 at 11:13 a.m. Winds are out of the SSW at 9 mph and the outside air temperature is at 40 degrees under partly cloudy skies at Racine beaches. Waves for today off of RAcine beaches on Lake Michigan are in the shin high range and under with very poor conditions for surfing. Today we will see a mix of sun and clouds but clouds will be increasing going into the late afternoon hours. Winds will be mainly light to day out of the south and look for the outside air temperature to push up into the low 40's at Racine beaches. Tonight look for mainly cloudy skies and there will be a good chance for some rain showers with some snow mixing in. Winds for tonight will be moderate mainly out of the NNE. The outside air temperatures will drop down into the low 30's for tonight at Racine County beaches. The sunrise was this morning at 6:48 and the sun will set tonight at 5:21 p.m. The water surface temperatures off of Racine County beaches are at 38 degrees. Well hope you got a few good surf's in last Friday and Saturday because there is no waves in the forecast here in the Racine area. Have a great day and here is a photo that was shot by Will Wall my fellow lake charger and best friend took before we went surfing here in Racine last Saturday morning. And a VERY GOOD LUCK to Rex Florstrom in his battle in court on February the 16th for getting arrested for surfing off of one of Chicago's beaches a month ago. SURFING IS NOT A CRIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
