Good cloudy Monday, this is Burton with your surf update recorded on January the 23rd 2012 at 2:28 p.m. Winds are moderate out of the west at 15 mph with gusts to 26 mph and the outside air temperature is at 33 degrees under very cloudy skies at Racine beaches. Waves for today are in the shin high range and under with very poor conditions for surfing off of Racine County beaches on Lake Michigan. Today are outside air temperature maxed out at 43 degrees for this morning and winds for today are moderate to strong mainly out of the west. Skies will remain on the cloudy side for today at Racine County and there will be a slight chance for some light snow showers. Tonight look for still moderate to strong winds mainly out of the west and skies will be cloudy. Also for tonight look for the low air temperatures to drop down into the low 20's and there will still be a slight chance for some light snow showers. Tuesday look for mainly sunny skies and with just a few passing clouds and winds will be moderate out of the WNW. The outside air temperatures for Tuesday will push up into the upper 20's at Racine beaches. Tuesday night look for light winds out of the WNW and skies will be partly cloudy. The outside air temperatures for Tuesday night will drop back down into the low 20's at Racine County beaches. The sunrise was this morning at 7:13 a.m and the sun will set this late afternoon at 4:52 p.m. The water surface temperatures off of Racine County beaches on Lake Michigan are at a cold 38 degrees. Well I hope you did get a few waves in yesterday with those strong winds out of the SE and SSE because there really is no waves in the surfcast for the next several day's here in the Racine area. Super fun surfing with you once again Will yesterday when we ventured up to Door County Wisconsin and scored some really fun waves.Man the water was cold you could feel it bitting into your wetsuit and when you duck dived. 36 to 38 degrees was the water surface temperatures up there. Here is a cool picture Will took of me catching my last waves of the day here in the Racine area with last Tuesday's waves out of the NNW. Happy Surfing The Great Lakes 2012 and check for this next Wednesday's No Salt Surf report. Burton
