Waves for today are in the knee high range and under with very poor conditions for surfing. Today we will see sunny skies with a few passing clouds and winds will be moderate to strong out of the SW and WSW. The outside air temperatures for today will push up into the low 40's at Racine beaches. Tonight look for clear skies with only a few passing clouds and winds will be moderate out of the west. The night time low air temperatures will drop down to about 30 degrees. The sunrise was this morning at 7:21 a.m and the sun will set this late afternoon at 4:35 p.m. The water surface temperatures off of Racine beaches on Lake Michigan are at a cool 40 degrees. Well not much in store for waves for this next couple of day's here in the Racine area on Lake Michigan. Looking into this next Thursday we could see some decent winds and waves out of the NNW and NW. As of now the standout spots here in the Racine area for Thursday will be your best bet to get the bigger waves. Have a great start to your work week and check for this Wednesday's next surf update. Happy Surfing The Great Lakes 2012. Here is a picture of a wave when I was recently surfing back out in California back in late December. Burton
