Good afternoon, this is Burton with your No Salt Ice report recorded for Racine County beaches on February the 15th 2010 at 1:10 p.m. Winds are out of the WNW at 12 mph with the outside air temperature at 29 degrees under mostly cloudy skies at Racine County beaches. Still very dangerous ice conditions prevail off of all Racine County beaches as you can see in today's picture. Surfing is not advised off of any of Racine beaches until all the ice is gone and it is safe to venture back into all of Racine County surf spots. Today we will see increasing clouds going into this afternoon with a slight chance for some light snow showers or flurries at Racine County beaches. Winds for today will stay on the light side out of the NNW and we will only see our air temperatures push up into the upper 20's. Tonight look for another better chance for some light snow showers with winds staying on the moderate side out of the NW. Also for tonight we will see mainly cloudy skies with our low air temperatures pushing down into the low 20's and the sun will set at 5:23 p.m. The sunrise was this morning at 6:48 a.m and the water surface temperature off of Racine County beaches on Lake Michigan are holding at a chilly 36 degrees. Not much change still as far as the ice situation off of Racine County beaches with still several more weeks until the whole Racine area gets back to normal and its safe to venture out for a surf. Have a great week and check for Friday's No Salt Ice report. Here is also a one more from last Wednesday's surf session here on Lake Michigan that Erich Miller took , not Racine County. Also a picture that Larry took of me, Will, Kevin and Brian from last years 21st Annual Dairyland Surf Classic up in Sheboygan Wisconsin. Thanks for the pictures you sent to Will Larry and look forward to this years Dairyland. Burton
