Good Friday morning, this is Burton with your ice update recorded for Racine County beaches at 8:00 a.m on January the 22nd 2009. Winds are out of the ENE at 8 mph with the outside air temperature at 34 degrees under cloudy skies at Racine County beaches. Surfing conditions off of Racine County beaches is still not advised with very dangerous conditions as far as the ice shelf goes for all of Racine beaches. Today we will see mainly cloudy skies with moderate winds out of the ENE and our outside air temperatures will push up into the low to mid 30's. Tonight look for a low around 31 degrees with moderate winds out of the ESE and we will see cloudy skies once again. The sunrise was  at 7:15 a.m and the sun will set tonight at Racine County beaches at 4:51 p.m.  The water surface temperatures off of Racine County beaches on Lake Michigan are at a cold 36 degrees. Not much change at all as you can see in the picture below as far as the ice goes with several more weeks still to go before things get back to normal and we can surf again off of Racine County beaches. Have a great weekend and check for Monday's ice update.
