Good Saturday morning, this is Burt with your surf update for Racine County beaches effective on September the 12th 2009 at 10:24 a.m. Winds are out of the NNE at 8 mph with the outside air temperature at a nice 72 degrees under partly cloudy skies at Racine beaches. Waves are in the shin high range and under for today with surfing conditions in the very poor range off of Racine beaches. A very nice Saturday in store with our outside air temperatures hanging in the low 70's at Racine beaches with winds mainly light to moderate out of the northeast for today. After this morning we will see sunny skies with only a few afternoon clouds and then for tonight look for cloudy conditions with skies clearing after midnight. Winds for this evening will be on the calm side and our low air temperatures for tonight will be right at 55 degrees at Racine beaches. Sunday look for another really nice day with our air temp's pushing back up into the low to mid 70's with plenty of sun in store and winds will be light out of the ENE. Sunday night look for a low around 55 degrees again and winds will stay on the calm side for Sunday evening. Waves for Sunday will once again be on the very small side for surfing here in the Racine area with waves in the shin high range and under with very poor conditions for surfing. The sunrise this morning was at 6:28 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 7:06 p.m. Water surface temperatures off of Racine County beaches are still at a nice 68 degrees on Lake Michigan. Still very small to flat conditions prevailing for the next several days but we could see some small waves out of the ENE and east for the middle of next week. As of now it still looks to be on the small side at Racine beaches for the middle of next week but it will be something to surf at least after a slow start to our surf season. Have a great weekend and enjoy this beautiful weather and check for Monday's No Salt Surf report.
