Good morning, this is Burton with your surf update recorded at 8:52 a.m on July the 18th 2009. Northwest winds at 13 mph with the outside air temperature at a nice 68 degrees under partly cloudy conditions. Waves are in the shin high range and under for this morning with surfing conditions in the very poor range. Waves have really been down graded for today but I am going with my own feeling on this one and I am still going to say that we will see waves build through today and waves will build up to about thigh high for this afternoon. Waves will be mainly out of the NNW for this afternoon and as of now surfing conditions will stay on the poor side going in to this afternoon. A very hard one to forecast as of now with most of the weather models saying one thing or the other but going on my own on this one. A somewhat nice day in store for today with our high air temp's pushing up in to the upper 60's with partly to mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance for an afternoon rain shower. Winds will be on the light to moderate side for today mainly out of the north and then for tonight look for light to moderate winds out of the NNE. The low for this evening will be right around 58 degrees with partly to mostly cloudy skies with still a slight chance for some light rain showers. The sunrise was at 5:29 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 8:25 p.m. Water surface temperatures off of Racine beaches are in between 62 an 64 degrees. Well not much in store for waves for the next several days after today with our summer doldrums hanging in there for a while. Have a great Saturday and check for Sunday's surf report.
