Good Thursday morning, this is Burton with your surf update for Racine County beaches effective on June the 25th 2009 at 11:23 a.m. ESE winds at a light 6 mph with the outside air temperature at a hot 84 degrees under cloudy skies with a few peeks of sun. A record was set here in the Racine area yesterday for the hottest day at 92 degrees breaking the old record of 91 degrees. Waves are flat once again for today with light winds mainly out of the WNW that are not producing any waves for the Racine area. Another hot day at Racine beaches with partly to mostly cloudy conditions with a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm with some moderate rain showers. We will see our air temp's push up in to the mid 80's again for today and then for this evening we will see a low around 66 degrees with light winds out of the SW and mainly clear skies. 5:14 a.m was the sunrise this morning and the sun will set this evening at 8:34 p.m. Water surface temps have risen pretty fast with these very hot days and are at 64 to 66 degrees off Racine beaches now. Well flat summer like conditions still prevail off of Racine beaches but we might see some small waves out of the NW for this next Monday the 29th of June. But as always things like I have said before can change for the better or the worse and we will have to see when we get a little closer to next Monday. Other then that have a great Thursday and keep cool out there and check for Fridays surfcast.
