This is Burton with your Racine County surf report recorded on June the 22nd 2009 at 10:41 a.m. SSE winds at 9 mph with the outside air temperature at a nice 75 degrees under mainly sunny skies with only a few high clouds in the area. Waves are in the ankle high range and under for today at Racine beaches with just light winds for today out of the southeast and ESE. Another very nice summer day in store for today with plenty of sun with only a few passing clouds from time to time. Our high air temp's will push up in to the upper 70's to 80 degrees for today and Racine beaches with a slight chance for an afternoon thunderstorm. Tonight look for a warm low air temperature around 64 degrees with mainly clear skies with only a few passing clouds. Winds for this evening will be light out of the ENE and we will see another slight chance for a thunderstorm. The sunrise this morning was at 5:13 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 8:33 p.m. Water surface temperature have risen up to 60 degrees off of Racine beaches and are going to get warmer faster due to these warmer days we have been having. Same old story as far as any substantial waves go for the Racine area for the next several days but get out an go Perch fishing off of Racine piers because the fishing is all time right now if you like Perch. Have a awesome Monday an check for Tuesdays surf update.  Lake Michigan Dream Peak shot by Rusty Malkemes in late May of 2009. Looking good right about now.
