Good Tuesday morning, this is Burton with your surf update for Racine beaches effective on April the 28th 2009 at 11:33.a.m. NNE winds at 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph and the outside air temperature is at a cool 44 degrees under mainly clear and sunny skies. Waves for this morning are in the knee to waist high range with a few top set waves up to stomach high at the standout spots. Surfing conditions at Racine beaches are in the poor range with a good sheltered spot being your best bet. Still pretty bumpy out there at the standout spots with some moderate to strong winds out of the NNE, but a few smaller and cleaner waves can be found at some of Racine's shieltered spots going throughout the day . A nice and cooler day in store with plenty of sun with a few clouds mixing in and our high air temp's here will be barley pushing up to right around 50 degrees. Tonight we will see a low right around 41 degrees with winds light to moderate out of the northeast and partly cloudy skies. The sunrise this morning was at 5:49 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 7:48 p.m. Water surface temperatures off of Racine beaches are still at a cold 42 degrees but are slowly rising. Well little waves for today but for the overall surfing conditions it is going to be on the poor side like I said with some weak little waves up to mainly waist high though the day. The sun is out and there are little waves so take advantage of the warmer conditions and go catch a few because we are going to be settling down as far as waves go going into the flat season, summer. Have a great day and check for Wednesday's surfcast. This picture is a pic shot yesterday up in the U.P of Michigan, U.P Pipeline.
