Good beautiful Wisconsin morning, this is Burton with your surf update for Racine County beaches recorded on April the 24th 2009 at 10:20. SSW winds at 10 mph with an already very nice 66 degrees outside with partly cloudy skies and a few good peeks of sun. Waves this morning and going through the day for today will stay on the very poor side for surfing at Racine beaches with wave heights in the thigh high range and under. We will start to see very gusty winds for today out of the SSW but with a very classic summer like day here in southeast Wisconsin we will not see waves because of the very warm winds not connecting with the cold lake to produce waves. We will see our high air temp's push up into the low 80's for today at Racine beaches but a lot of sand will be blowing around because of those stiff SSW winds. We will see a slight chance of a few rain showers for today but really only a slight chance. Tonight we will still see gusty winds in the moderate to strong range out of the SSW with mainly clear skies with increasing clouds late and a warm low air temp right at about 57 degrees. The sunrise this morning was at 5:53 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 7:43 p.m. Water surface temperature's off of Racine beaches are still at a cold 42 degrees but are slowly rising especially with warm days like today. Well a very nice day in store for today but unfortunately no real nice waves in store for a couple more days. Monday we could see some small waves out of the SSE and south but we will have to see when we get closer. Get out and enjoy these next couple of days because we all deserve it after our long cold winter. Have a great Friday and check for Saturday's surfcast.
