This is Burt with your 8:54 a.m surf report for Racine beaches recorded on April the 18th 2009. Southwest winds at 5 mph with the outside air temperature at a nice 60 degrees under a mixture of clouds and sun for this morning at Racine beaches. Waves are flat for today once again at Racine beaches but another beautiful day in store with our high air temp's pushing up into the mid 60's. A mix of sun and clouds for this morning and then we will have increasing clouds going into the afternoon hours and winds will be light out of the SSW. Tonight look for a low around 43 degrees with light winds out of the east and mainly cloudy skies with a good chance for some rain showers going later in the evening. The sunrise was at 6:04 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 7:36 p.m. Water surface temp's off of Racine beaches are still at a cold 40 degrees but it is slowly rising. Well Sunday we will see a storm system pushing through the area that will bring us some winds and waves out of the NE but overall conditions will be on the poor side for surfing here in the Racine area. Not the strongest of winds out of the NE so it will be on the small side and a lot of places will also be on the junkie side too even at the sheltered spots. Well hopefully things change more for the better for Sunday, so check for Sunday's surf update and have a great Saturday.
