Good mid morning, this is Burt with your surf report updated on March the 31st 2009 recorded at 10:41 a.m. ESE winds at 17 mph with gust to 25 mph and the outside air temperature is at 40 degrees under cloudy skies with light rain. Waves are in the knee to thigh high range with some set waves up to waist high with building waves for today out of the ESE and southeast. Waves will be building through out the day with top set waves by this late afternoon up to chest high. But overall surfing conditions here in the Racine area are in the poor to fair range with a lot of onshore east winds in it making a lot of places pretty junkie. Best bet is to try to find a good sheltered spot for today for the best surfing conditions here in the Racine area. Today we will see pretty much a steady rain throughout the day with moderate to strong winds out of the ESE and SE and a high air temperature right around 44 degrees. Tonight we will see the rain showers tapering off that will leave us with partly cloudy skies and tonight's low air temperature will be right around 33 degrees. Winds will be on the light to moderate side out of the SSW for tonight and the sun will at 7:16 p.m. The sunrise this morning was at 6:34 a.m and the water surface temperature's off of Racine County beaches are still at a cold 38 degrees. Well some more waves on tap for today but like I was saying your best bet is to find a good spot that can block a lot of that east wind because most places are blown out for today. Have a great Tuesday and check for Wednesdays No Salt Surfcast.
