Good Thursday morning, this is Burton with your surf update for Racine beaches effective on March the 26th 2008 at 10:28 a.m. West winds at 6 mph with the outside air temperature at 44 degrees under mostly cloudy skies with a few peeks of sun. Waves are flat of today with just light to moderate winds out of the southwest and a high air temperature topping out at 51 degrees with more sun for this afternoon. Tonight we will see partly cloudy skies along with clearing conditions later on with a low around 30 degrees and winds will be light out of the WNW.  The sunrise this morning was at 6:43 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 7:11 p.m. Water surface temp's off of Racine beaches are at a cold 38 degrees still. Pretty much on the flat to very small side as far as waves go for the next couple of day's but that will all change for Racine County beaches going into this weekend. Waves for this weekend will start off kind of small for Saturday morning but the waves will be building through the day and into the afternoon for Saturday with winds and waves out of the NNE. Sunday will be the strongest with waves out of the north but a lot of places will be blown out with those strong north winds so a good sheltered spot would be your best bet. Look for Friday's surfcast and have a great Thursday.
