Good afternoon, this is Burton with your ice update for Racine County beaches recorded on Tuesday January the 13th 2009 at 4:44 p.m.  WNW winds at 8 mph with the outside air temperature at a cold 3 degrees with a very cold wind chill at -11 under sunny skies with the sun setting at 4:41 this evening. Tonight we will see winds light out of the WSW and a very cold low air temperature around -1 degrees. For Racine beaches we will see increasing clouds going into this evening with a good chance of some snow developing and one to two inches of snow expected through the overnight hours. Still very dangerous conditions prevail for surfing out on Lake Michigan with plenty of ice in the lineup and with also a dangerous ice shelf, surfing is not advised. A wind chill advisory is in effect from Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m through Friday the 16th of January with very dangerous wind chills exceeding the -20 to -30 degrees range. Have a great week and stay warm out there, the next ice update will be on January the 19th 2009. Marcus on a good left after smack Lake Superior style, photo by Bob Tema.
