Good late Thursday morning, this is Burt with your surf update effective at 11:32 a.m on Thursday December the 11th 2008. NW winds at 7 mph with the outside air temperature at 26 degrees under very sunny Wisconsin skies. Waves are flat for today with just light to moderate winds out of the WNW along with a high air temp right at 28 degrees. Today we will see mainly sunny skies with only a few passing clouds and then for tonight look for a low around 13 degrees with increasing clouds and a good chance for some light flurries. WNW winds for tonight will be on the light to moderate side and the sun will set tonight at 4:17 p.m. The sunrise this morning was at 7:12 a.m and water surface temp's off of Racine beaches are still at a cold 40 degrees. Not much for surf here in the Racine area for the next couple of day's but looking into Saturday and Sunday going into this next weekend we could see some strong south winds that will bring the Racine area some decent surf. Also with these south winds we could see some warmer air temps with temperatures in the low 40's for Sunday's high along with some rain showers. Have a great Thursday and check for Friday's surfcast.

This picture was taken last February when pretty much the whole Lake Michigan was iced over, Kenosha for some reason was the only place you could surf on this side of da lake. Little lefthander funneling in.
