Good Sunday morning, this is Burt with your surf report recorded at 9:18 a.m on November the 30th 2008. ENE winds at 17 mph with the outside air temperature at 39 degrees under very cloudy conditions. A winter storm waring is in effect from noon today into Monday morning with several inches of snow expected especially by Lake Michigan with some lake enhanced snow with strong NE and NNE winds setting up. Waves this morning are in the shin to the knee high range with a few bigger waves at the standout spots but with a lot of east in our winds for the Racine area most places are in the poor range for surfing with very choppy conditions. Waves will be building through the day today with winds switching more out of the northeast, so by the late afternoon hours we will see waves up to the waist and stomach high range with still poor to fair conditions for surfing. The sheltered spots are going to be you best bet for today with still a lot of east in our winds going into this afternoon. Today's high air temps will push up into the upper 30's with moderate to strong winds out of the northeast and periods of snow. Tonight we will see strong winds out of the north with periods of heavy snow and a low air temperature right around 29 degrees. After all said in done for the snow amounts for Racine beaches and everyone near the shore line we could see snow amounts over the eight inch mark, so be careful out the driving to the beach and surfing out on the lake.  Monday's waves are looking very impressive with pretty much everywhere going off with wave heights here in Racine going several feet overhead especially at the standout spots. There will be a lot of water moving out there for Monday so the sheltered spots could be your best bet with less current. The sunrise this morning was at 7:01 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 4:18 p.m. Water surface temps are still at 47 degrees so wear the right wetsuit, booties and gloves when venturing out for a surf. Lots of places will be going off as far as surf goes going into Monday December the 1st so be careful getting through the snow and to the beach and especially be careful surfing out on Lake Michigan with some decent wave heights coming through. Have a great Sunday and look for an early surfcast for Monday morning, Go Packers.
