This is Burton with your surf update for the Racine area recorded at 11:26 a.m on Saturday November the 22nd 2008. SSW winds at 10 mph with the outside air temperature at 27 degrees with the wind chill at a cold 17 degrees under mainly cloudy conditions. Another pretty cold day in store with our air temp's here in Racine by the lake not exceeding over the 33 degree mark with mainly cloudy skies with only a few peeks of sun through the day. Waves are flat for today with just light winds out of the SSE and winds for tonight will also be on the light side out of the SSW. Tonight look for clearing skies and a low air temp right at 27 degrees. Sunday look for mostly clear conditions in the morning but clouds will be working their way back in for the later parts of the day. For Sunday look for light to moderate winds out of the SSW with much warmer air temps for our highs with temps right at 44 degrees. Waves for the Racine area will be on the very small side though with wave heights in the knee high range and under with poor conditions for surfing out on Lake Michigan. The sunrise this morning was at 6:52 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 4:22 p.m, water surface temps are still at a cold 48 degrees and slowly dropping. Going into Sunday evening we will see a low air temperature around 33 degrees with a chance of some snow but little or no accumulation is expected.
