Good Sunday, this is Burton with your surf update for Racine County beaches effective on Sunday November the 16th 2008 recorded at 12:01 p.m. West winds at 12 mph with gust to 19 mph and the outside air temperature at a cool 34 degrees under mostly cloudy skies with a few good peeks of sun. Waves are flat for today with mainly winds out of the west and WNW on the moderate side that are keeping our waves on the flat side for this side of the lake. Today we will see another cool day in store with our air temps hanging in the mid to upper 30's with cloudy conditions and a chance for some flurries or a snow shower or two. Tonight do not rule out a few flurries with cloudy conditions but there will be some clearing going into the midnight hours and we will see a low around 27 degrees. Winds will be light to moderate for tonight out of the northwest. The sunrise this morning was at 6:45 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 4:26 p.m. Water surface temps are still hanging at a cool 50 degrees and slowly dropping. Looking into this next week we will have a series of storms come through the area that will bring us several shots of some good surf. Starting off on Monday we will see some moderate to strong winds out of the northwest that will push our waves back up to the chest high range by the afternoon hours at the standout spots here in Racine. Then for Tuesday we will still see moderate to strong winds out of the NW that will keep our surf going and then again for Thursday and Friday some more friendly NW winds that will keep our surf up and going. A good streak of some good winds for this next week but the air temps will not exceed over the 40 degree mark for most of the week so stay warm out there. Have a great Sunday and Go Packers. Trying to find Bigfoot in the U.P of Michigan, Will Wall staying stoked from the day befores surf session.
