Good Thursday morning, this is Burton with your surf report recorded on October the 30th 2008 at 10:23 a.m. SSW winds at 15 with gusts to 24 mph and the outside air temp at a cool 44 degrees under very sunny Wisconsin skies. Waves are starting out on the small side for this morning with wave heights in the shin to knee high range but will be building more through the day out of the SSW. Waves by this afternoon will build into the knee to thigh high range with a few set waves up to waist high but overall still on the poor side for surfing here in the Racine area. Best waves are going to be more north of Racine County with more lake to build some bigger waves on this SSW wind. Today we will see a high air temperature around 58 degrees with moderate to strong winds out of the SSW and plenty of sun. Tonight look for clear skies and a low around 46 degrees with moderate winds out of the SW. The sun will set tonight at 5:46 p.m and the sun will rise on Friday October the 31st Halloween at 7:25 a.m. Water surface temps off of Racine beaches are hanging right at 54 degrees. Have a great Thursday and try to get out and surf with a few little waves to be had but like I said its better to go a little more north of Racine County to score the best waves. Check for Friday's surfcast.
