Good afternoon, this is Burton with your 1:25 p.m surf update for Thursday August the 28th 2008. SSW winds at 10 mph with the outside air temperature at 77 degrees under cloudy skies. Waves for today are in the shin high range and under for all of Racine County beaches with very poor conditions for surfing on Lake Michigan. Today we will see light to moderate winds out of the south and are air temps will push into the upper 70's. This afternoon look for a slight chance of a thunderstorm and the sun will set at 7:32 p.m. Tonight look for a low around 62 degrees with winds light to moderate out of the SSW but will switch and turn more out of the northwest. Also look for a better shot of a thunderstorm with some areas of light to moderate rain. The water surface temps are right at 68 degrees and the sun will rise on Friday the 29th of August at 6:13 a.m. Really not much going on for surf for the next several days for Racine County but that could change quick so keep checking in for new surf updates. Check for Fridays surfcast and for the Dairyland weekend. This fish was caught today here in Racine, a beautiful Chinook salmon fresh and ready for this weekends 20th Dairyland Surf Classic, get those coals ready and see you there.
