Good Sunday morning, this is Burt with your surf update for Racine County beaches effective at 8:51 a.m for Sunday August the 23rd 2008. Winds are out of the north at 8 mph with the outside air temperature at 64 degrees under sunny Wisconsin skies. Waves are up to the knee high range for this morning with little waves building through the day out of the north and NNE. By this late afternoon and into this evening we will see wave heights up to thigh high at the top standout spots here in Racine, overall waves will be on the poor to fair side for surfing depending the time and where you surf. Today we will see our air temps top out right around 73 degrees with sunny skies and the winds will be pretty moderate winds out of the north and NNE. Tonight look for a comfortable low air temperature around 58 degrees with light winds out of the northeast and clear skies. The sun will set at 7:38 this evening and the water surface temps are still very nice with temps hanging at 68 degrees. Looking into the surf future it looks like another moderate north wind and swell is lining up for next Friday the 29th of August but we will have to see if it holds up into this next week. So keep checking up on new surf updates and have a great rest of the weekend.
