This is Burton with your surf report updated for Racine County beaches effective on August the 22nd 2008. South winds at 14 mph with the outside air temperature at a nice 77 degrees under mostly cloudy skies with a few peeks of sun. Moderate winds for today out of the south with a high air temperature around 80 degrees with increasing clouds going into this afternoon and a good shot of a thunderstorm along with some light to moderate rain showers. Waves for this morning and going through the day will still be on the very small side with wave heights in the shin to knee high range with maybe a slightly bigger wave but still on the poor side for surfing out on the lake. Tonight we will see a low air temp rather mild with the air temps right around 69 degrees with winds still moderate out of the SSW and also we will still see a good shot of a thunderstorm or two a long with some moderate rain. Saturday we will see moderate winds out of the southwest along with some more scattered thunderstorms and a mix of sun and clouds. Saturdays highs will be right around 83 degrees and Saturday evenings lows will be right at 61 degrees, so a little cooler than tonights low air temps. Waves for Saturday will still be on the very small side with waves in the knee high range and under. Looking into the next several days it looks like this next Monday morning on August the 25th we could see some stronger winds and waves out of the northeast. Water surface temps are right around 70 degrees and the sun will set this evening at 7:42 p.m and the sun will rise on Saturday at 6:07 a.m. Have a great weekend and check for Sunday's new surf update and lets just hope this one holds up for Monday morning. Happy Birthday Mary Mom 2.
