Good Tuesday morning, this is Burton with your 9:21 a.m surf update for Racine County recorded on August the 19th 2008. Northeast winds at 9 mph with the outside air temperature at 69 degrees under cloudy skies. Waves are a little bigger this morning than expected with wave heights in the knee to thigh high range with top standout spots up to stomach high on the set waves. The standout spots are very junkie though with your best bet finding a little more sheltered spot with a few cleaner corners to be had with fair to poor conditions for surfing here in the Racine area. Winds for today will be light to moderate out of the NE and ENE with a mixture of sun and clouds for most of the day. Air temps pushing into the mid 70's for today and the water surface temps are still rather warm with temps right around 70 degrees. Tonight look for a low air temp right around 61 degrees with clouds in the early evening but then the clouds will clear out leaving us with clear skies. A few little fun waves to be had this morning so get out if you can with very comfortable water temps along with a least something to ride. The sun will set at 7:46 p.m this evening, have a great Tuesday and check for Wednesday's No Salt surf update.
