Good Monday morning, this is Burt with your Racine County surf update effective at 11:10 a.m on May the 26th 2008. WSW winds at 15 mph with gusts to 21 mph and the outside air temperature at a warm 74 degrees under mostly cloudy skies with a few peeks of sun. Waves are flat for this morning with mainly west and WSW winds not producing any waves for Racine beaches but a very nice day on tap to go to the beach. Today we will see very comfortable air temps with highs in the mid to upper 70's with a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. Tonight we will see our lows dip back down into the mid to low 40's with still mostly cloudy skies with the winds switching more out of the north and picking up moderate to strong. Waves will be on the increase for the early morning hours and through most of the morning but then the waves will start to tapper off into the afternoon hours with winds and waves out of the north and NNE. After Tuesday things will be back to the very small to the flat side for the remainder of the work week with air temps working their way back up towards the middle to the end of the week. Tuesday we will see a lot cooler highs for our air temps with temps barley hitting 50 degrees for the high. Have a great Memorial Day and a big thanks to all the troops out there in the past and in the present that has keep this nation free and has given their lives so we could have our freedom. Check for Tuesdays surf update.
