Good Monday morning, this is Burt with you Racine County surfcast effective at 11:59 a.m April the 28th 2008. Winds out of the ENE at 12 mph with the outside air temp at 41 degrees with the wind chill at 35 degrees under cloudy skies. Waves are in the shin high range for this morning but with very poor conditions for surfing with messy mushed up little weak waves. Waves are building though out the day with winds and waves out of the NNE with a lot cooler air temps on tap for today with highs only in the low 40's with a chance of some rain going through the day. By this evening waves will build up to waist high on the set waves for the standout spots here in Racine County but still on the choppy and windy side with still poor conditions for surfing as this storm system works its way through the area. Look for some light snow showers to mix in for tonight with the rain but no accumulation is expected, winds will be strong out of the north with tonights lows in the low 30's. Maybe a chance of some small waves for Tuesday early morning out of the north with some leftovers from todays storm but like I said small but a lot cleaner conditions then today. The water surface temperature is right around 43 degrees and the sun will set at 7:49 p.m this evening. Have a great Monday and check for Tuesdays surf update.
