Good Monday afternoon, Burton here with your 4:29 p.m Racine County surf update recorded on March the 24th 2008. SSE winds at 14 mph with the outside air temperature at 32 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Strong south winds kicking in for the overnight hours with some light snow after midnight and our low air temps will be right around 31 degrees.  A slushy mix of precipitation going into Tuesday morning but it will eventually all change over to rain. Wave heights for this afternoon and going into this evening are really poor with waves in the shin high range and under for Racine beaches. Tuesday morning look for wave heights to be in the thigh to waist high range with the standouts up to stomach high on the set waves with even a few bigger set waves early in the morning. We ill also see the winds switch out of the SW by the mid morning hours that will clean up a lot of places for some fun little waves with offshore clean conditions. Check for an early surfcast for Tuesday and have a good evening.
