Good Monday afternoon, this is Burton with your 1:37 p.m ice update for Racine County recorded on February the 11th 2008. West winds pretty light at 5 mph with the outside air temperature at a cold 6 degrees under mostly cloudy skies with a few peeks of sun. Very Cold air temps for this last weekend spilling into this week with another good shot of some accumulating snow for tonight lingering into Tuesday morning with 3 to 6 inches expected and a snow advisory is in effect from 6 p.m this evening until 12 p.m Tuesday. As far as the ice shelf goes its still very dangerous out there with this very cold air not helping at all for the up coming future of any chance for our spring thaw. Going to take a few good weeks now for our air temps to rise above 32 degrees to start to bring things back to normal for our lake surfing conditions to be safe to venture out again. I do not have any new pictures of the ice for today because my truck is frozen to the ground in the back drive way but I will have some new pictures for this Fridays ice update. Todays high air temps will be right around 11 degrees with winds for this evening pretty light to moderate out of the east and a low of 8 degrees. Have a great week and look for Fridays No Salt Ice update.
