Good Friday morning, Burton here with your 11:23 Racine County ice update effective on January the 25th 2008. WSW winds at 13 mph with the outside air temperature at a cold 11 degrees with mostly sunny Wisconsin skies.  Still a good ice lock up for around here with also to go with it some pretty good chunks of ice floating in the line up as you can see. With very cold temperatures for this week it has really not helped a lot of places with the clearing and thawing of the ice in most spots. All I am saying is a least we are not looking like the other side of the lake with all of their surfing spots locked in for a while with the ice going out for miles. We will have a brief warm up going into Sunday and Monday of this next week but don't hold your breath as some bitterly cold air working its way back into the middle to the end of next weeks work week that will not help out the ice situation. Temps for today a little warmer then the last couple of days with temps almost pushing 20 degrees with snow showers filling into the afternoon hours with 1 to 2 inches expected. Winds will be out of the southwest for today and pretty moderate with our low air temps for tonight not as cold with lows in the mid teens. Have a great weekend and check for Mondays No Salt Ice update.
