This is Burton with your 10:23 a.m surf update for Racine County beaches effective on January the 22nd 2008. WNW winds at 12 mph with the outside air temperature at a cold 11 degrees and partly cloudy Wisconsin skies. Lots more sun then yesterday but a tad bit colder with the wind chill factors not helping any with the wind chill at -3 degrees. Waves again not the best either for today with shin high waves and under. Things will be getting a little bit better as we go into the mid to late afternoon hours with a little increase from the NW but still dangerous for surfing out there on the lake with a lot of ice in the line up and our ice shelf working its way out into the lake. As far as it looks now for surfing in the near future we will have to see if things improve for our ice conditions if not I will keep you informed  about the ice shelf and ice in the line up until its gone. Check for this evenings No Salt Surfcast and also check out our new web site at nosaltsurf.com and good thanks going out to The Chicago Sun Times for putting us on todays front of the news paper.
