Good Thursday morning, this is Burton with your surf update effective on December the 27th 2007 at 10:40 a.m.  WNW winds at 11 mph with gusts to 20 and the outside air temperature at 31 degrees under cloudy conditions. Waves flat for today with too much west in our winds, todays high air temps will be in the low 30's with clouds hanging around pretty much all day. A snow advisory is still in effect for us here in Racine for Friday early a.m through the evening hours with snow accumulations in the 3 to 6 inch range.  As this storm system works its way into our area for the late overnight hours and through the early a.m hours it will bring a good chance of some east and NE winds that will kick up our surf for Racine beaches. The best time it is looking like to venture out and score some surf would be for the mid to late afternoon hours with the swell building into the evening. Wave heights will not be that great maybe up to stomach high before the sun sets because most of the swell will happen overnight for Friday and then slowly fade by Saturday morning with mainly west winds for Saturday. WNW winds will be pretty moderate today and not much sun in the surfcast . Check for this evenings surf update.
