This is Burton with your Racine County No Salt Surf update recorded on December the 27th 2007 at 5:30 p.m. 29 degrees right now with mostly cloudy skies and the winds out of the WNW at 4 mph. Just light winds for today out of the WNW and the NW with very calm conditions for Racine beaches, waves were in the ankle high range and under. As it goes today was the calm before the storm with plenty of snow coming for Friday and a snow advisory is still in effect from Friday early a.m hours and lasting into the evening with snow amounts in the 3 to 6 inch range. The winds will be out of the east and ENE for pretty much most of the day on Friday with light to moderate winds for tonight out of the NE. The low air temps for this evening will hang in the upper 20's and Fridays highs will get up to about 31 degrees with snow starting in the late a.m hours. Should be some fun little ridable waves by the end of the day on Friday with winds kicking up some surf but with a lot of east on it your sheltered spots will be your best bet. Check for a early surfcast and thanks Tom Ward and Rusty Malkemes for letting me share some awesome photos of surfin da lake.
