Winds are light out of the ENE at 5 mph with the outside air temperature at a nice 73 degrees under very sunny Wisconsin skies. Wave heights early this morning were up to thigh high at most of Racine beaches with light east winds and waves also out of the east with poor to fair conditions for surfing out on Lake Michigan. The waves have dropped off fast through the morning hours with waves right now in the knee high range and under. Today we will see mainly sunny skies with our air temps pushing up to about 74 degrees with light winds out of the east for most of the day. Tonight we will see a low air temperature around 64 degrees with clear skies with only a few passing clouds and the winds will still be light out of the east. The sun will set around 7:33 p.m this evening and the water surface temps off of Racine beaches is very comfortable with temps right around 68 degrees. A little bump up for surf from the south going into Thursday but not for around here you will have to go past Milwaukee to get some ridable surf. Looking further out for this up coming weekend up at The 20th Dairyland Surf Classic in Sheboygan Wisconsin, the surf is looking rather very small and weak for most of the weekend but early Friday morning we could see a slight bump up for surf out of the northwest. Other then that keep checking in for new surf updates and have a great Wednesday. Also this evening look up into the sky and try to find Mars it will be the closes to earth then it will ever be in our lifetime,we are looking for mostly clear skies so try to find it.

Monday's No Salt Surf Update For Racine County Beaches!
Good start to the work week, this is Burton with your surf update recorded at 11:55 a.m August the 25th 2008. Winds are out of the NNE at 16 mph with gusts to 20 mph with the outside air temperature at a nice 69 degrees under sunny Wisconsin skies. Wave heights for this morning are in the shin to knee high range with better st waves up to thigh high. Mushy and junkie at the top standout spots with your best bet would be finding a little shielded spot from all that east wind, waves are out of the northeast. Not the best conditions for surfing out on the lake but there are a few corners to be had with fair to poor conditions, and the water temps are still very comfortable with temps in the upper 60's. Today we will see a little cooler temps in store for Racine County beaches with our temps pushing right at 70 degrees with moderate to strong winds out of the NNE and NE. Look for waves to tapper off into the afternoon with waves in the late afternoon to be in the knee high range and under. Tonight look for mainly clear skies with our night time low air temp right around 57 degrees and winds will be light to moderate out of the ENE. Nothing too much in store for any kind of solid waves for Racine County for the next several days except we will have some small waves for the next couple of days out of the east and ESE with waves not over thigh high though. The sun will set tonight at 7:36 p.m and the sun will rise on Tuesday the 26th of August at 6:10 a.m. Good Ole Lake Michigan giving up the goods, somewhere on Lake Michigan. Have a great Monday and check for Tuesday's surfcast.
