Tuesday's No Salt Surfcast For Racine County Beaches!
Good Tuesday morning, this is Burt with your surf update recorded at 10:07 a.m on June the 30th 2009. Northwest winds at 12 mph with the outside air temperature at a cool 64 degrees under cloudy conditions at Racine beaches. Waves are unfortunately in the shin to knee high range at the top standout spots with poor conditions for surfing. Waves will be building more going in to the noon hour and in to the afternoon with waves only building up to the thigh high range with some set waves going in to this afternoon up to waist high. Surfing conditions will be a little better this afternoon with poor to fair conditions at Racine Counties standout spots with clean an offshore conditions.  Today we will see a slight chance of a rain shower with moderate winds out of the NW. We will see our air temps push up in to the mid to upper 60's with mainly cloudy skies. Tonight look for still moderate winds out of the NW with a better chance for some more rain and conditions will stay on the cloudy skies at Racine beaches. Our low air temps will drop back down to the low 50's for tonight and water surface temps off of Racine are still hanging in between 62 and 64 degrees. The sunrise was at 5:16 and the sun will set at 8:33 p.m this evening. Well not so good for waves for today at the standout spots here in the Racine area with this surfcast  really being downgraded. But there will be some fun little waves going in to this afternoon with some clean conditions but like I said nothing over the waist high range at the standout spots. Some little waves more of the same for Wednesday but as it looks like right now it might be even a little smaller. Due to family in town for this week for the holidays I might not be able to do my surf reports as early as I want like today. So bare with me until next Thursday the 9th and get out and enjoy these little summer waves because it is few an far between for waves this time of year.

Monday's Late Afternoon Surf Update For Racine Beaches!
Good late afternoon, this is Burt with an 5:11 p.m surf update for Racine County beaches effective on June the 29th 2009. Waves are not as good as expected for this afternoon and going in to this evening at Racine standout spots.  Wave heights only up to shin to knee high with still very poor conditions for surfing. Way to much west in most of the winds all up and down this side of the lake with not to much filling in yet at our standout spots here in Racine. And wave heights will barley get up to thigh high before the sun sets. Better luck going in to Tuesday morning with the best bet surfing at  the standout spots. Have a good evening and check for an 8:00 a.m surf update on Tuesday morning.

WNW winds at  14 mph with gusts to 23 mph with the outside air temperature at 72 degrees under partly cloudy skies at Racine beaches. Waves are flat for this morning and going in to the noon hour with mainly strong winds out of the WNW. Winds will be switching though more out of the northwest after 2:00 p.m this afternoon with building waves going in to this late afternoon and into the evening. For this late afternoon and going to the evening it will take a little while for the waves to start building and your best bet would be the Racine County standout spots. By the evening time before the sun sets waves will build up to the thigh to waist high range with a stomach high set wave before things start to get dark. Surfing conditions here in the Racine area at the standout spots will be in the fair to good range with some fun and clean offshore conditions. Today we will see a mix of sun and clouds with moderate to strong winds mainly out of the WNW but like I said winds will be switching more out of the NW going in to this afternoon. We will see our high air temp's push in to the low 70's for today with a slight chance for a rain shower or two. Sundays No Salt Surfcast For Racine County Beaches!
Good windy Sunday afternoon, this is Burt with your surf update recorded at 1:11 p.m on June the 28th 2009.  West winds at 16 mph with stronger gusts to 32 mph with the outside air temperature at 79 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Waves are super flat for today with winds out of the WNW and west pushing the waves over to the other side of Lake Michigan. Very windy conditions for today with winds strong out of the WNW and west  with a mix of sun and clouds with a high around 79 degrees at Racine beaches. Tonight look for moderate winds out of the west with mainly clear skies and a low around 63 degrees. The water surface temperatures off of Racine beaches are in between 66 and 70 degrees but will be dropping through today because of these strong west winds. As far as waves go for today an Monday it is looking very small to flat but we could see little waves by late Monday afternoon and going in to the evening at the standout spots here in Racine. It really depends what time the winds want to switch more out of the NW for us to get some waves at the standout spots. The earlier the better the later the worse because it will take some hours for us to start seeing waves at the standout spots. Well cross your fingers because the standout spots here in the Racine area will be pretty much the only place to surf on this side of the lake with the point sticking out as far as it dose. Have a great Sunday an check for Mondays surf report.

Saturdays No Salt Surf Update For Racine County Beaches!
Good Saturday afternoon, this is Burt with your surf update for Racine County beaches effective at 1:00 p.m on June the 27th 2009.  ESE winds at 11 mph with the outside air temperature at a nice 75 degrees under mainly sunny skies for Racine beaches. Well waves are not looking good at all for today with waves in the shin high range and under with very poor conditions for surfing here in the Racine area. Today we will see a mix of sun and clouds with our high air temps pushing up in to the mid to upper 70's with winds in the light to moderate range out of the ESE and southeast. Tonight we will see a low around 69 degrees with moderate winds out of the WSW and a good chance for some moderate rain along with some thunderstorms. The sunrise this morning was at 5:15 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 8:35 p.m. Water surface temps off of Racine beaches are at a warm  70 degrees but will be dropping fast with Sundays strong winds out of the WNW. Well not so good for waves today with mainly just light to moderate winds out of the ESE and SE that are not producing very much for waves for us here in the Racine area. And as Sunday comes we will still be on the flat side with strong winds out of the WNW. The next best chance for us to see some waves would be for the late afternoon hours and going in to the evening for Monday night with winds switching more out of the NW. Overall waves will still be on the small side with waves barley getting up to thigh high on the set waves here in the Racine area at the standout spots for Monday evening. Hope it gets a little better then that for Monday afternoon and going in to the evening and we will see as we get a little closer to Monday to see if the winds switch more for the better. Have a great Saturday and check for Sundays surfcast.

Friday's No Salt Surf Report For Racine County!
Good beautiful Friday summer morning, this is Burton with your surf update recorded on June the 26th 2009 at 10:19 a.m. NNE winds at 12 mph with the outside air temperature at a nice 75 degrees under mainly clear and sunny Wisconsin skies. Waves are flat to very small for today at Racine beaches with waves staying in the knee high range and under with very poor conditions for surfing here in the Racine area. A very nice an somewhat cooler day in store with winds off of the lake in the light to moderate range out of the NNE and NE. We will see our air temperatures only push in to the mid 70's today with plenty of sun in store. Tonight look for partly cloudy skies with a low around 66 degrees and winds will be light out of the ENE. The sunrise this morning was at 5:15 a.m and the sun will set tonight at 8:34 p.m. Well looks like we could see some small waves up to knee to maybe thigh high on late Saturday afternoon and going in to the evening with moderate winds out of the SSE but its still looking in the poor range for surfing off of Racine beaches. And of right now those waves I was talking about for this next up coming week out of the NW it is looking like way too much west in the winds to produce any good size waves for the Racine area. We will have to see if this changes at all for this next week but as of now its not looking good even at the standout spots for surfing off of Racine beaches any time soon. Have a great Friday and check back for Saturdays surfcast to see if we have any good changes.
